Who is Iran ?

Iran is a republic country in Asia, It has been officially known as the Islamic Republic of Iran since the overthrow of the Shah in’s also called Persia with 82 million inhabitants .

Iran has one of the largest and most powerful armed forces in the Middle East, according to data compiled by the military-research website Global Firepower.

As of 2017, Iran had an estimated 534,000 active military personnel and 400,000 active reserve military personnel.

The country spent an estimated 3.0% of its GDP on its military in 2016, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute.

US officials said cash had to be flown in because existing US sanctions ban American dollars from being used in a transaction with Iran

and because Iran could not access the global financial system due to international sanctions it was under at the time.

Once married, a girl can no longer go to high school. The marriage age of girls is currently 13, up from 9 years old after the Revolution.
